With the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, new weapons, armor, Ashes of War, and Spirit Ashes have become available. The DLC is a late-game endeavor, and you will want to bring the best build you can into it, as it is a tricky area. You will still want to prioritize Vigor, Dexterity, and Faith as your main stats, according to YouTuber ColdBwoyy.

The weapon from the last boss in the base game, the Sacred Relic Sword , becomes much more important now that you can continue using it in the DLC. The Halo Scythe is also a great weapon, which gives you more melee damage the higher your Dexterity stat.
